Pete's Directory has tried to make adding your site as easy as possible.  To begin, return to our homepage and browse through the categories in the centre of the page.  Choose the category that best suites your site, and click on its heading.  You will now see a series of sub-categories relating to the main category.  Underneath the list of sub-categories you will see two links, 'Add URL' and 'Add Premium URL'.  Clicking on these two links will take you to our standard or premium submission pages.  Then, just follow the on-screen instructions to provide us with your details.

Depending on whether your site is related to a specific subject or offers a more general approach will depend on how many sub-categories you need to drill down through before finding the most appropriate category for your site.  The example below should help if you're not sure.

Say your website covers a wide range of topics all related to different sports and hobbies.  You will most likely want to list your site in a general category, such as the 'Recreation and Sports' category.  However, if your site only deals with golf, then you will want to drill down to the 'Recreation and Sports > Sports > Golf' sub-category. 

If you can't decide which category is best, why not carry out a keyword search to see where similar sites are located.

Once you reach our submission pages you will find further instructions on how to complete the submission form.  Once you have provided your details you will be directed to our merchant, PayPal, to make your payment and complete your submission.

Pete's Directory charges a one-time only fee for both standard and premium listings.  In this way there is no need for reciprocal links (which can be time consuming for both parties).  By charging a small fee we can also guarantee that your site will be reviewed and, if approved, added to the directory within a couple of days.  Many free sites takes weeks or even months before reviewing your submission.  All sites submitted  to Pete's Directory are reviewed by a human editor.  Full details of our charges and our promises to you are provided below:

In order to ensure that Pete's Directory is family friendly and contains the best quality links the following types of websites will not be accepted on Pete's Directory:

• Sites containing or promoting pornography or adult-only material.

• Sites containing hate content, violence, copyright infringing material, or illegal content.

• Sites promoting or encouraging gambling.

Also,

• The site must be in the English language, or have a version that is in English.

• The site must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

• The site must be complete, without broken links, "under construction" pages, and/or missing or incomplete graphics.
